Hungarian GP Fantasy Review

The F1 Fantasy Hungarian GP 2026 points wrap-up rewarded players who backed Lando Norris, as the McLaren driver converted pole position into his first Grand Prix victory of the season. Oscar Piastri’s retirement after leading much of the race became the weekend’s biggest bracket breaker, while Lewis Hamilton’s late pit-lane speeding penalty dropped him behind Charles Leclerc, costing fantasy players valuable points. In the midfield, positions-gained bonuses once again reshuffled the standings, with Max Verstappen’s recovery drive from P5 to a podium and strong performances from Isack Hadjar and Liam Lawson proving just as valuable as outright finishing position.

Mercedes and Ferrari proved to be the best choices, despite a few battles between the top four teams. Nico Hulkenberg scored a few points but again not enough for a budget increase.

Fresh Price Changes & Budget Outlook

The Hungarian GP locked in another important round of price changes, making budget management just as important as raw points. Isack Hadjar and Nico Hulkenberg appear to have the clearest paths to an increase among Tier B drivers. All four top teams also look well positioned for price increases, especially Ferrari and Red Bull. Cadillac’s recent struggles have cemented their place at the bottom of the price table, with both the constructor and Valtteri Bottas already at the minimum price and Sergio Perez not far behind. Aston Martin’s upgrades seem to have lifted the team out of the bottom of the pack, making their assets slightly more appealing at their current prices.
