The Formula 1 season is just a few weeks away, and we’re in for what should be a very exciting season. For those of us who live in the Americas, F1 race times are hit or miss. Sometimes they are in the middle of the night, sometimes they are very early in the morning, and every so often they fall at the right time of day.
Let’s rank all the races from best to worst to watch in the Americas. The best races start and end between 8 am and 10 pm in Alaska Standard Time (AKST), Pacific Time (PST), Mountain Time (MST), Central Time (CST), Eastern Time (EST), Atlantic Time (AST), and Brazil Standard Time (BST). Anywhere from UTC-9 to UTC-3.
You can find the full Formula 1 race times on the F1 website. Here are the Formula 1 race times for North American fans.
1: The American Daytime Races
Of course, the easiest and best races to watch this year are the daytime races in the Americas. This includes the Miami Grand Prix on May 3, 2026, the Canadian Grand Prix on May 24, 2026, the United States Grand Prix (COTA) on October 25, 2026, the Mexico City Grand Prix on Nov 1, 2026, and the Brazilian Grand Prix on November 8, 2026. All races fall in normal daytime hours for all the North American time zones.
| AKST | PST | MST | CST | EST | AST | BST | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Miami, Canada, and COTA | 12pm | 1 pm | 2 pm | 3 pm | 4 pm | 5 pm | 6 pm |
| Mexico | 11 am | 12 pm | 1 pm | 2 pm | 3 pm | 4 pm | 5 pm |
| Brazil | 8 am | 9 am | 10 am | 11 am | 12 pm | 1 pm | 2 pm |
2: Jeddah
Outside of North America, the only other race that falls perfectly for North American fans is the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, taking place on April 19, 2026. Because this race takes place in the early evening local time, it’s the perfect time for fans in the Americas to tune in.
| AKST | PST | MST | CST | EST | AST | BST | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jeddah | 9 am | 10 am | 11 am | 12 pm | 1 pm | 2 pm | 3 pm |
3: Bahrain and Qatar
The other races in the Middle East fall nearly perfectly in North America. While it is better in the eastern part of the continent, it’s less good in Alaska, where the race starts at 7 am. Still, 7 am is better than other grand prixes this season. Here are the full race times
| AKST | PST | MST | CST | EST | AST | BST | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bahrain and Qatar | 7 am | 8 am | 9 am | 10 am | 11 am | 12 pm | 1 pm |
4: Silverstone
Silverstone is the first race where it starts to get a little uncomfortable on the Pacific side. The Formula 1 race time in Alaska is 6 am on July 5, 2026, and in the PNW it starts at 7 am. Still doable, but less easily. The east side is still very comfortable.
| AKST | PST | MST | CST | EST | AST | NST | |

| Silverstone | 6 am | 7 am | 8 am | 9 am | 10 am | 11 am | 12 pm |
5: The European Races
All of the European races except Silverstone start at the same time, including (deep breath), Monaco, Barcelona, Austria, Belgium, Hungary, Dutch, Italian, and Spanish Grand Prixs. It’s still doable on the East Coast, but less good as we get further eastward.
| AKST | PST | MST | CST | EST | AST | NST | |

| Singapore and Abu Dhabi | 5 am | 6 am | 7 am | 8 am | 9 am | 10 am | 11 am |
6:Singapore and Abu Dhabi
Two Asian races make it especially hard for North American fans. The East Coast is still doable, but it’s getting harder and harder on the West side and through the Midwest.
| AKST | PST | MST | CST | EST | AST | NST | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Singapore and Abu Dhabi | 4 am | 5 am | 6 am | 7 am | 8 am | 9 am | 10 am |
7: Australia and Las Vegas
Unlike the others, these Formula 1 race times are actually quite difficult for those on the East Coast. While Vegas and Australia may start in some regions within reasonable waking times, both go quite late, meaning for a very late night for fans.
Australia makes sense given its location, but it’s odd for Vegas, given that the race happens on the continent, but given that it’s a night race, it needs to happen after the city is dark and the roads are clear.
This falls below Singapore and Abu Dhabi because only two time zones start and end the race in normal waking hours.
| AKST | PST | MST | CST | EST | AST | NST | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Australia and Las Vegas | 7 pm | 8 pm | 9 pm | 10 pm | 11 pm | 12 am | 1 am |
8: Baku
Baku is the last race on the calendar, which works for fans in the Americas at all. If you are in BST, Eastern Brazil, Argentina, or similar areas, the race starts just as you wake up, but if not, you’re either waking up in the middle of the night or earlier than planned to catch this iconic course on September 26th, 2026.
| AKST | PST | MST | CST | EST | AST | NST | |

| Baku | 3 am | 4 am | 5 am | 6 am | 7 am | 8 am | 9 am |
10: Suzuka
The Japanese Grand Prix comes in second-last, as it is doable if you are in Alaska and are willing to stay up a little later. That being said, it’s a reach for the rest of the continent. Here are the racetimes for the Japanese Grand Prix, taking place on March 28th.
| AKST | PST | MST | CST | EST | AST | NST | |

| Suzuka | 9 pm | 10 pm | 11 pm | 12 am | 1 am | 2 am | 3 am |
11: China
The worst Formula 1 race time for North American fans is the Chinese Grand Prix. It is in the middle of the night for everyone on the continent, and it isn’t easy for anyone to catch at all. Here are the times for the race taking place on March 15th.
| AKST | PST | MST | CST | EST | AST | NST | |

| China | 11 pm | 12 am | 1 am | 2 am | 3 am | 4 am | 5 am |
