The Week Ahead
Austin gave us the right winner, just not the fantasy score we wanted. Kimi Antonelli took another victory, but two retirements left our lineup lower than we had hoped. F1 Fantasy Mexican GP 2026 gives us a quick chance to recover, with Antonelli now needing just a P9 finish to secure the Drivers’ Championship. This is a standard weekend, so there are no Sprint points to chase. We’re sticking with the premium constructors and spending a little more on our cheapest driver. The question is whether that extra cost buys us a better Sunday.

The Circuit
Mexico’s long main straight makes overtaking look easier than it always is. Turn 1 is the obvious opportunity, but following through the rest of the lap can make recovery drives hard work. The circuit sits more than 2,200 metres above sea level, with thin air affecting downforce and cooling before drivers even reach the slow stadium section.
Pirelli has brought the softest range of their tyres, with a one-stop looking possible, although extensive resurfacing makes Friday’s tyre running worth watching. Interruptions can change the one-stop plan—the 2023 race needed a Safety Car and red flag—but that’s a reminder of the risk rather than a prediction for Sunday. The current forecast looks mostly dry, so there’s little reason to build around a wet-weather gamble.

Fantasy Implications from F1 News
- Kimi Antonelli: A P9 finish is enough to secure the Drivers’ title, but the title doesn’t change our fantasy target.
- Ferrari: Charles Leclerc finished P2 and Lewis Hamilton finished P4 in Austin, making Ferrari the highest fantasy scoring constructor by a large margin. This keeps them firmly in our plan as the second premium constructor.
- Audi: Hulkenberg finished P11 in Austin, leaving a reasonable case for a better return in Mexico.

F1 Fantasy Mexican GP 2026 — FAQ
Who should I Boost in F1 Fantasy for the Mexican GP?
Kimi Antonelli is our early 2× Boost pick after winning in Austin. Charles Leclerc is the alternative already in our lineup, especially if Ferrari look stronger in practice. His 53-point return last weekend is a useful reminder that the race winner doesn’t always score the most fantasy points.
Is the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez good for overtaking in F1 Fantasy?
There are opportunities, particularly into Turn 1, but the long straight doesn’t guarantee an easy recovery through the field. We’re keeping midfield picks affordable and putting most of the budget into assets we expect to run near the front.
Who are the best value picks for F1 Fantasy at the Mexican GP?
Nico Hulkenberg is our preferred midfield option, with a points finish within reach and an expected price increase. Racing Bulls’ recent pace is also promising, with a price increase expected.
