With 1 month until the start of the 2026 Formula 1 season, all 11 teams have finally released their liveries. And as we patiently wait for the first race weekend, I’ve been focusing on what really matters: not technical performance, not pre-season testing, but aesthetics. Without further ado, let’s take a look and rank each F1 team’s livery for the 2026 season.
11. Aston Martin
Aston Martin was the first on the grid to reveal its livery, and public opinion was largely negative. However, we’re only concerned about my opinion today, and I actually don’t think it’s a complete miss. I’m generally not a fan of a green car, so I like that this year’s car is more of a turquoise. The main thing throwing me about this car is the angle at which this photo was taken. That front wing looks as thin as a toothpick, thanks to the new regulations.
10. Alpine F1 Team
Alpine is certainly sticking to what they know with this livery. The blue and pink colour scheme works very well, and there’s nothing wrong with this design, but it’s very similar to last year’s design. This livery reminds me of the awkwardness of not noticing a friend’s haircut because everything looks… well… the same.
9. McLaren
This livery looks about as good as we could have expected for a team with bright orange colours. McLaren didn’t do anything too different this year, and they still look very much like the championship-winning car we saw dominate 2025. Just like Alpine, they’re not doing anything wrong, but this livery isn’t anything new.
8. Audi F1 Team
Honestly, I could rank this at 1 for the simple reason that we won’t be forced to watch a bright green car run around the track anymore. The colour combo works, but the difference between them is so stark that the car almost looks like a half-cracked glowstick. I think the idea was great, but the execution could have been better.
7. Ferrari
Ferrari definitely made an intentional choice with this nostalgic design. While I’m a fan of the classic red, this does give me better vibes than last year’s car. That HP logo looks better on a white background, although it’s still pretty hard to ignore it. Kudos to Ferrari for giving the fans something decent to look at when they inevitably find a new way to flop this season.
6. Mercedes
For a team that’s a heavy championship favourite amidst these new regulations, I thought this livery would be a bit more exciting. Mercedes is sticking to its classic black-and-silver finish, and the turquoise adds a nice accent. Also, what’s going on with those Adidas-esque stripes along the sides? Overall, pretty well done, but I’m left feeling a bit underwhelmed.
5. Racing Bulls
This livery screams young and exciting talent, which is the perfect match for this team. It’s a huge improvement from last year’s design, and their best livery in years. The sponsorships on the car are a bit aggressive, but what else can we expect from a team called the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls?
4. Williams Racing
I’m impressed with Williams’ ability to iterate on their somewhat boring blue design from 2025. Blending the lighter blue elements with the classic blue makes the car much more interesting to look at. Shockingly, though, my favourite part of this car is the sponsorship integration.
The Duracell branding genuinely looks like a battery, and the Jackpot City roulette caps were a very creative move. I love that Williams put some thought into incorporating their sponsors, rather than slapping a bunch of logos on their car and calling it a day.
3. Cadillac F1 Racing Team
The first-ever livery from Cadillac, and they’re starting off on a great note. The split design makes up for their boring colour scheme in a huge way, and differentiates them well.Cadillac may be projected to be at the back of the grid this year, but at least they’ll be doing it in style.
2. Haas F1 Team
Now this is CLEAN. Haas is the team that I always forget about, but this livery is so good, they’re making it impossible to ignore them. The sponsors are incorporated so well, the red and white contrast perfectly, and the car just looks fast. Haas is giving me no choice but to pay attention to them this year, and that’s a huge achievement.
1. Red Bull Racing
Both Red Bull teams did not hold back with the colour this year. The glossy finish is the cherry on top of this car, and it makes me want to buy the LEGO set immediately. This car is going to look absolutely amazing in night races. No notes.
Final thoughts
I would not have expected Red Bull to take the top spot for me, but they knew exactly what they were doing with that glossy finish.
